The proposed city budget was introduced at last weeks’ city council meeting, and as we mentioned before, the staff are proposing to build a dirt pump track in Davis!

Most of the DBPA board was there to testify and show support.  During council discussion four councilmembers not only supported the staff recommendation to develop a pump track, but went further and asked for the staff to expedite the process!  On June 6th, the staff will report back to the council with an updated pump track plan.  We will be there, will you?

The Davis Bike Park Alliance members, families, and friends will be gathering in advance of the June 6 council meeting to publicly show our support for the pump track.  We will be the bike nuts standing around a table with green shirts.  In fact, the first 20 people to show will get a free DBPA shirt as well.

This pump track is the first step in making Davis, once again, a leader in bicycle living--and the first step towards building a full bike park and implementing the Davis Platinum Bike Plan.
